The Global AI Competition is an open call to startups for AI-driven solutions for neurodivergent learners, culminating in the 2026 ASU+GSV Summit, where finalists will present their innovations. Winning teams will join the collaboratory to further their work.
Launched at the 2025 ASU+GSV Summit, the Center seeks applications from students, faculty, and staff at Arizona State University, but also globally from AI startups, EduTech firms, K-12 educators, diagnosticians and early intervention programs. We want these communities to think out of the box: how can AI solutions help diagnose, support lifetime learning for this population and provide solutions for these young adults to navigate life post college.
Examples of potential AI applications include:
- Speech and language processing
- AI for social skills training
- Sensory-friendly AI navigation systems
- Real-time feedback systems for educators
- Personalized reading comprehension tools
- AI-driven behavioral analytics for early diagnosis
- VR for sensory integration therapy

Competition applications will open soon!
Select finalists will present their solutions at the 2026 ASU+GSV Summit, where they will have the opportunity to pitch to a global audience of investors, educators and policymakers. Winners will be announced during the conference and will receive additional seed funding and access to ASU’s network of resources to scale their solutions for maximum impact.
